Tournament Structure

• Refer to the Brackets page for the tournament bracket information
• 2 Swiss groups will be made based on the rank seeding of players; see an example of one Swiss group:

• Each Swiss group will play 4 rounds
• The top 4 of each Swiss group advances to a single elimination bracket; see our example bracket:

• The top 8 bracket will also be streamed on Twitch
• Bo3 Swiss groups, Bo5 top 8 quarter finals, Bo7 semifinals, Bo9 grand finals

Rules

• Players must be 13 years or older to enter
• Players under 18 must have parents/guardians sign a waiver located on site
• Player accounts must be in good standing
• Players must be physically present within the LAN to play
• Matches are in osu! standard with score as the win condition
• !roll begins every match, higher roll wins
• Roll loser decides warm up map (any song <3 minutes, not in map pool)
• Roll winner decides first map
• Thereafter, loser decides next map
• No map bans
• In the top 8, each mod can only be selected once by a respective player
• Tournament rules and structure are subject to alterations by the administrators; administrators have the final say in any disputes
• New players may sign up during the setup period provided that spots still remain or become vacant
• Missing a time slot (registration, matches, etc.) counts as a loss; please show up a few minutes before your alotted time slot so you and the administrators can set up in time

Room Making Instructions

Refer to the Schedule page for the list of current matches. Players are expected to follow the grid of updated matches and create their own lobbies in osu! multiplayer. The tournament organizers will try and message you on osu! to notify you of your upcoming matches, but because this is done manually, please do not rely on us to be 100% on top of things. Here is an example match grid:

• 12:00-1:00PM: Group 1 Round 1 (Bo3)

Player1, make the lobby game with the given lobby name and password. Play according to the designated best of (Bo3, Bo5, Bo7, or Bo9) indicator, and follow the rules we have listed. Make sure that you are facing the correct opponent, and that you kick any outsiders if necessary from the room. Please give players their privacy and do not join another room if it is not your designated match. Failure to abide by this rule can forfeit your spot in the tournament.

The only exceptions to the outsider rules are the tournament administrators (Shrackner, Jim, lalipo, Shintomo, mauler68) who will periodically step into your rooms to grab the match history info. After a match, it is the winner's responsibility to report back to the desk and double check that we have the proper match results. DO NOT LEAVE the lobby until this is confirmed.

Prizing

• 1st: 12 months of osu! supporter, mechanical numpad, Wacom CTL 480
• 2nd: 6 months of osu! supporter, mechanical numpad
• 3-4th: 4 months of osu! supporter
• 5-8th: 1 month osu! supporter

Update: Due to Press Start not paying anyone, we've ended up reimbursing players on our own. 35000vr and jawnmewn are being compensated separately from our own pockets. Additionally, osu! staff dramatically reduced the amount of given supporter, to 3 months for 1st place, 2 months for 2nd place, and 1 month for 3rd place. In response, Shintomo gave up his supporter, and we each additionally paid for one month for the top 8.

All top 8 placers will be memorialized on the osu! UCI website.
